On October 22, at the Beijing Outstanding Contribution Talents and Overseas Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Special Contribution Award commendation meeting held by the Organization Department of Beijing Municipal Party Committee, Professor Shi Ou of our college was awarded the 13th batch of Talents with Outstanding Contribution on Science, Technology and Management in Beijing (hereinafter referred to as outstanding contribution talents) honorary title.
It is reported that Beijing outstanding contribution talents commendation award was established in 1984. It is approved reserved by the central committee and is considered as the municipal commendation award in the name of the Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government. The commendation meeting is held every three years with no more than 50 people are awarded in principle. The award is high in standards, long in history and widespread in coverage and influence. Lei Jun, Deng Xingsheng, Yan Ning has won the award before.
The 13th batch of outstanding contribution talents included 11 people from colleges and universities such as Tsinghua University. Our professor Shi Ou was awarded the title of great honor for his innovative research spirit and pioneering research results, which greatly affirmed his outstanding contribution to the capital's economic and social development, marking the new breakthroughs our school has achieved in talent team cultivation.
Professor Shi Ou is a senior professor in our college, dean of China Primary Education Textbook Research Institute of Capital Normal University, director of the doctoral program of curriculum teaching theory, and director of the Research Institute for Curriculum Teaching. He is also a member of the expert committee of the state textbook commission, a member of the academic committee of the Chinese education society, the chairman of the national education cultural relics research association, and the vice director of the national teaching theory professional committee. He is a national famous teacher who enjoys the special allowance of State Council. At present, he is engaged in the research of textbooks, curriculum and teaching, basic education curriculum reform and other research with great influence of textbooks research in the academic world. He has published more than 40 academic books and textbooks, and more than 100 papers, and presided over nearly 40 subjects at all levels. He has been awarded the first prize for the higher education teaching achievement of the Ministry of Education, the first prize for the outstanding achievement on national education science research, the Wu Yuzhang humanities and social sciences award, and the first prize for the philosophy and social sciences achievement in Beijing.
